Fact sheets to help prevent online abuse in the workplace

Safe Work Australia and eSafety have released two new fact sheets that provide guidance to employers and workers to help prevent online abuse in the workplace.

The fact sheets explain what online abuse is and practical steps you can take to reduce the risks.

According to the fact sheet: “Online abuse at work can come from customers, clients or members of the public, or it can happen between workers, supervisors and managers. It can also happen when working away from the usual workplace (e.g. working from home).”

Online abuse can affect the psychological health of workers, leading to stress and other mental health conditions.
