Clarifying the rights of entry permit-holders

SafeWork SA has published information and guidance about entry permit-holders on its website to try to end confusion around the rights and obligations of entry permitholders, unions and businesses.

The information includes:

  • entry requirements;
  • work health and safety requirements;
  • suspected contravention;
  • rights of entry permit-holders and businesses;
  • behaviours; and
  • dispute resolution.

SafeWork SA Executive Director Martyn Campbell said, “the new information available will assist in providing clarity on expectations under the WHS Act. Our aim is that by providing guidance, we can work together with businesses and unions for a greater understanding of the roles we all have in creating safe workplaces for all South Australians”.
