How do we mitigate legal risk when investigating a worker with a disability?

Q: We have an employee who, it is alleged, has engaged in serious misconduct. We will be conducting an investigation into the allegation. This employee has a disability. While the investigation (and potential disciplinary action) does not relate to the disability, is there anything we should be doing differently in the investigation due to the disability?
