Michael Selinger

Michael Selinger

Michael Selinger is a partner in the Sydney office of Holding Redlich. He practises in all areas of workplace relations. Michael’s expertise includes:

  • occupational health and safety;
  • industrial disputes, litigation and coronial enquiries;
  • protection of confidential information and restraints of trade;
  • employment contracts;
  • the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and the interpretation of industrial instruments;
  • transmissions of business;
  • company restructuring; and
  • internal workplace investigations and dealing with investigations by regulatory agencies.

Michael acts for a diverse range of clients, including construction and manufacturing companies, media, education and not-for-profit organisations, and government bodies.

Before joining Holding Redlich, Michael’s practice included acting on behalf of WorkCover NSW in prosecuting breaches of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (NSW).

Michael has extensive litigation experience in employment disputes and defending health and safety prosecutions, and regularly appears in state and federal courts and tribunals. Michael is a regular presenter of seminars and training on workplace issues, in particular on occupational health and safety issues.

Charles Power

Charles Power is a Partner in the workplace relations department of Holding Redlich in Melbourne. He has practised in employment and industrial relations since 1992. Charles has a strong practice representing employers in all aspects of employment and industrial law, and is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a workplace relations specialist. He is a member of the advisory board to the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law, the University of Melbourne and the Australian Human Resources Institute.

Andrew Douglas leads a national legal team helping clients to develop compliance with workplace legislation through a range of training programs. He writes, presents and practises on a range of topics, including:

  • health and safety law;
  • employment law;
  • workers’ compensation;
  • industrial relations;
  • equal opportunity;
  • privacy;
  • social media; and
  • surveillance.

He focuses on developing employee wellbeing programs that increase productivity, improve workplace health and safety and reduce workers’ compensation premiums.

Ray Bedson is a health and safety consultant, event safety officer and trainer in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. He has more than 30 years of experience in production and operations management, specialising in safety, quality and environmental management. He also has extensive experience in auditing, process technology, and industrial and project engineering.
