A stress hazard is a work practice or process that could cause a worker to develop:

  • a psychological injury or disorder, e.g. post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression or anxiety;
  • or a physical injury, e.g. headaches, indigestion, fatigue, shortness of breath or cardiovascular disease.
