Protected Action Ballot

A protected action ballot is a secret ballot in which a group of workers vote on whether or not to authorise industrial action to be protected for a proposed enterprise agreement. The ballot is granted by the Fair Work Commission and is required for industrial action to be protected under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
