WorkSafe Victoria v Peter Stoitse Transport Proprietary Limited (2023)

Peter Stoitse Transport Proprietary Limited (PS Transport) is a company that collects and transports milk between farms and processing locations in Victoria. As part of this business, the workers operate a number of prime movers and milk tankers.

In the first incident, on 10 February 2020, a worker of PS Transport was driving a milk tanker when the brakes began to show signs of failure. The worker tried to slow the truck and in doing so, the milk tanker drifted out of control and hit an embankment on the side of the road. The worker suffered minor injuries.
