NT WorkSafe has issued a new safety alert after two recent incidents involving forklifts.

The safety alert reminds forklift owners and operators of the safety hazards of operating forklifts and how to minimise the risk of injury.

During April, WorkSafe inspectors ran a forklift safety campaign targeting businesses that supply materials to the construction industry. Inspectors provided the businesses with information and advice on the hazards and safe use of forklifts. During May, inspectors returned to monitor compliance with the safe management and use of forklifts.
